By accessing or using our Website, requesting a quotation, placing an order, or purchasing our products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Website.

1. About Us

3D Print It is a New Zealand business providing on-demand 3D printing, custom manufacturing, prototyping, and related services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age, or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order through this Website.

3. Quotes

All quotations are:

free unless otherwise stated;
valid for the period specified in the quotation, or 30 days if no period is stated; and
subject to review if files, specifications, quantities, or materials change.

Prices may change before an order is accepted.

4. Orders

An order is accepted only after we confirm it.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order where:

required information is missing;
uploaded files cannot be manufactured;
payment cannot be processed;
materials are unavailable;
the requested item may infringe another person’s intellectual property rights;
the requested item appears unlawful, unsafe, or otherwise inappropriate to manufacture.

5. Customer Files

You are responsible for ensuring all uploaded files are accurate and suitable for manufacture.

You warrant that:

you own the design or have permission to use it;
printing the item will not infringe any copyright, patent, trademark, design right, or other intellectual property right;
the files do not contain malicious software.

We may refuse to manufacture files that appear unlawful, offensive, dangerous, or infringe the rights of others.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any intellectual property in the files you provide.

By uploading files, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use those files solely for the purpose of:

reviewing your request;
preparing quotations;
manufacturing your order;
quality assurance;
customer support.

We acquire no ownership rights in your designs unless agreed in writing.

All content on this Website, including text, graphics, branding, logos, software, images, and designs created by 3D Print It, remains our intellectual property or that of our licensors and may not be copied without permission.

7. Manufacturing Limitations

3D printing is an additive manufacturing process and minor variations are normal.

Printed products may vary from digital models due to:

material characteristics;
print orientation;
support removal;
dimensional tolerances;
colour variation;
layer lines;
surface finish;
environmental conditions.

Unless otherwise agreed, dimensional tolerances are based on commercially reasonable manufacturing standards for the selected process and material.

8. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

checking your files before submission;
reviewing proofs or quotations where provided;
ensuring dimensions and specifications are correct;
ensuring the intended use of the printed item is lawful and appropriate.

9. Prohibited Items

We may refuse to manufacture items including, but not limited to:

illegal items;
counterfeit products;
items that infringe intellectual property rights;
weapons or regulated weapon components where prohibited by law;
dangerous goods;
items intended to facilitate criminal activity;
obscene or unlawful material.

10. Pricing and Payment

Prices are displayed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated.

Payment may be required before production begins.

Accepted payment methods are displayed during checkout.

Ownership of goods remains with 3D Print It until payment has been received in full.

11. Shipping and Delivery

Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

courier services;
customs;
weather;
natural disasters;
strikes;
supply shortages;
other events beyond our reasonable control.

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery, or when the goods are collected if you choose local pickup.

12. Inspection of Goods

Please inspect your order promptly after delivery.

If you believe an item is incorrect or damaged, contact us within a reasonable time after receiving it and provide photographs and relevant details so we can assess the issue.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where that Act applies.

13. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refund Policy and applicable New Zealand law.

As many of our products are custom-made to your specifications, they may not be eligible for return simply because you change your mind.

Where the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies, your statutory rights are not affected.

14. Consumer Guarantees

If you are acquiring goods or services for personal, domestic, or household use, you may have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 that cannot be excluded.

If you are acquiring goods or services for business purposes, and both parties agree in writing, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 may not apply to the extent permitted by law.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law:

we are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss or damage;
we are not responsible for losses arising from incorrect customer-supplied files or specifications;
our total liability in relation to any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount paid for that order, except where New Zealand law does not permit such a limitation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Website Availability

We aim to keep the Website available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

We may suspend, modify, or discontinue any part of the Website without notice.
