01About These Terms

3D Print It Limited (“3D Print It”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is a New Zealand business providing on-demand 3D printing, custom manufacturing, prototyping and related services.

These terms apply to:

• your access to and use of 3dprintit.co.nz;
• quotes, uploaded files and project communications;
• orders for goods and services supplied by us; and
• customer accounts and related support.

By placing an order or otherwise expressly accepting these terms, you agree to them. Website-use provisions apply whenever you use the website.

If a written quotation, order confirmation or project agreement contains a specific term that conflicts with these general terms, the specifically agreed term will take precedence for that project, subject to applicable law.

02Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian, to place an order.

If you order on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm that you have authority to bind them to the order and these terms.

03Quotes & Pricing

Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars unless stated otherwise. GST, shipping and other charges will be shown or described as applicable before the order is confirmed.

An automated online quote is calculated from the file and options submitted. It may require review if the design, material, support requirements, production time, quantity or other manufacturing information is incomplete or unsuitable for automated pricing.

A formal quotation is valid for the period stated in it, or for 30 days if no period is stated. Website prices may change before an order is accepted.

A quote may be revised if:

• the file, quantity, material, colour, finish or specification changes;
• the submitted information is inaccurate or incomplete;
• additional design preparation, support, assembly or finishing is required; or
• an obvious pricing, calculation or system error has occurred.

If a price change is required after payment but before production, we will explain it and obtain your agreement or provide a refund rather than proceed without approval.

04Orders & Acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected goods or services. An automated receipt, payment receipt or acknowledgement confirms that we received the request but does not by itself require us to manufacture an unsuitable or prohibited item.

An order is accepted when we confirm that it will proceed or begin production, unless we notify you that further review or approval is required.

We may decline or cancel an order before production where:

• required information is missing;
• the file cannot be manufactured reliably;
• the selected material or another required resource is unavailable;
• payment cannot be processed or an obvious pricing error occurred;
• the requested item is prohibited under our policies; or
• we reasonably believe fulfilling the order could be unlawful, unsafe or infringe another person’s rights.

If we decline a paid order before production, we will refund the amount paid for the declined work.

05Changes & Cancellations

Contact us immediately if you need to change or cancel an order. We may accept a change before production at our discretion, and any change may affect price and completion time.

Most items are custom-made. Once file preparation, procurement or production has started, a change-of-mind cancellation may not be possible and reasonable costs already incurred may apply.

Cancellation, returns and refunds are subject to our Returns & Refund Policy and your rights under New Zealand law.

06Customer Files & Specifications

You are responsible for checking that files and specifications supplied to us are complete, accurate and suitable for the intended result, including:

• dimensions, scale, units and orientation requirements;
• wall thickness, clearances and assembly fit;
• geometry, mesh quality and design strength;
• material, colour, quantity and finish selections; and
• the intended use and operating environment.

Where practical, we may identify an obvious concern, but standard quoting and manufacturing do not include a complete engineering, safety, intellectual-property or design validation unless agreed in writing.

07Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of intellectual property in files you provide. You confirm that you own the submitted content or have all permissions required for us to perform the requested services.

By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use, copy, process and adapt it only as reasonably necessary to:

• review the request and prepare a quote;
• prepare files and manufacture the order;
• inspect the finished product; and
• provide order, reprint, warranty or customer support.

We acquire no ownership of your design unless separately agreed in writing.

Our website content, branding, graphics, original images, software and designs created by us remain the property of 3D Print It or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission except where law permits.

08Acceptable Use & Prohibited Items

You must not use our website or services to submit malicious software, interfere with our systems or request content that is unlawful or infringes another person’s rights.

We may refuse items that are illegal, counterfeit, infringing, dangerous, intended to facilitate criminal activity, or otherwise prohibited under our Acceptable Use & File Upload Policy.

09Manufacturing Standards

FDM 3D printing creates parts layer by layer. Visible layer lines, seam lines, support marks, minor surface variation and reasonable dimensional variation are normal characteristics of the process and are not defects by themselves.

Unless another tolerance is agreed in writing, typical accuracy for most FDM parts is approximately ±0.2 mm or ±0.5% of the nominal dimension, whichever is greater. Particular geometries, materials and feature sizes may vary more.

10Materials & Intended Use

Material properties vary with design, orientation, processing and operating conditions. Published data and general guidance do not certify the finished part for a particular application.

You are responsible for confirming that the design and material are suitable for the intended use and for testing functional parts before operational use. Any recommendation we provide is based on the information supplied and does not replace appropriate engineering assessment.

Unless expressly agreed and certified in writing, products are not supplied for medical implants, life-support, aviation safety, structural engineering, critical automotive safety or other safety-critical applications.

11Payment & Ownership

Payment may be required in full before file preparation, material procurement or production begins. Available payment methods are shown at checkout or stated in the quotation.

3D Print It accepts payment through the payment methods made available at checkout, which may include credit or debit card, Afterpay and other payment services made available by us from time to time.

If you choose Afterpay, your use of Afterpay is also subject to Afterpay’s applicable New Zealand terms and conditions. Afterpay determines customer eligibility, approval, payment schedules and any applicable fees or charges under its own terms.

The purchase of goods or services remains a transaction between you and 3D Print It. Afterpay is a separate payment service provider and does not change your rights or obligations in relation to the goods or services supplied by 3D Print It.

You are responsible for paying the confirmed order total, including GST, shipping and any other charges shown as applicable.

Legal ownership of goods remains with 3D Print It until payment for them has been received in full.

12Production, Delivery & Risk

Production and delivery timeframes are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Timing may be affected by design review, material availability, machine availability, print failure, courier delays or events beyond our reasonable control.

Shipping charges, delivery, tracking, damaged parcels and collection are governed by our Shipping Policy.

Risk passes to you when goods are delivered to the address provided or collected by you or your nominated representative, subject to any rights that apply under New Zealand law.

13Inspection, Returns & Warranty

Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. If an item is damaged, incorrect or appears defective, contact us promptly with the order number, description and clear photographs.

Claims are assessed under our:

• Returns & Refund Policy;
• Warranty Policy; and
• applicable New Zealand law.

14Consumer Guarantees

If you acquire goods or services that are ordinarily used for personal, domestic or household purposes, you may have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Those statutory rights apply regardless of any warranty we provide and take precedence over any inconsistent part of these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes liability, guarantees or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

15Business Customers

If goods or services are acquired in trade for business purposes, the parties may contract out of specified provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 only where the applicable statutory requirements are met, including any requirement for written agreement and that contracting out is fair and reasonable.

No provision is contracted out of merely because the customer is a business. Any agreed exclusion must be expressly recorded in the relevant written quotation, order or agreement.

16Liability

Where permitted by law and where statutory consumer guarantees do not apply:

• we are not liable for indirect, consequential, special or incidental loss, loss of profit or business interruption;
• we are not responsible for loss caused by an inaccurate customer file, specification, instruction or undisclosed intended use;
• we are not liable for failure resulting from the customer’s design, material selection, modification, misuse or use outside suitable limits; and
• our aggregate liability arising from an order is limited to the amount paid to us for that order.

These limitations do not apply to liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

17Website Availability & Third Parties

We aim to keep the website available and information accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or continuously available access. We may maintain, modify, suspend or withdraw features when reasonably necessary.

Links to third-party websites and services are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or terms.

18Privacy & Account Security

Our handling of personal information and uploaded files is explained in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for keeping account login details confidential and for activity carried out through your account. Contact us promptly if you believe an account or payment method has been used without authorisation.

19Changes & General Terms

We may update these terms when our website, services or legal obligations change. Updated terms apply to website use and orders accepted from their stated effective date. An already accepted order remains governed by the terms in effect when it was accepted unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down or removed to the minimum extent necessary without affecting the remaining provisions.

A failure or delay in enforcing a term does not waive the right to enforce it later.
